They catered to the British for years and their breads and desserts have only gotten so much more delicious with time. Opened in 1885, Smith Field Bakery is one of the original and most legendary bakeries in the city. Located on ECR and Tryst Gourmet is located on Nungambakkam High Road Smith Field Bakery And what’s even better is that they have seasonal breads, like Hot Cross Buns during Easter. They’ve got breads, cakes and other desserts and their café on the ECR serves delicious food. If you’re looking for gourmet and artisanal breads, Tryst might just be the place you’re looking for. And if bread is not your thing, you have great desserts to choose from as well. Biscotti at Hyatt Regency has some delicious bread to choose from. And like that, most hotels also have their own bakeries where you can buy bread. Most hotels bake their own bread, giving it a special touch and making it that much more delicious than regular bread. We recommend the Cheese & Chili or the Pepper bread. They serve you slices of their bread with garlic and herbed butter and olive oil, but you can also buy yourself a loaf or two of their freshly baked bread.
